Each month, paint authority Sherwin-Williams unveils its Color of the Month pick for the upcoming 30 days.

For December 2019, the beautiful and versatile shade being featured by the brand is Black Bean SW 6006 (252-C5). According to Sherwin-Williams, this cozy neutral “layers beautifully with wood tones and textured furnishings.” It’s inspired by winters spent huddled around the glowing fireplace, toasting marshmallows, and going horseback riding.

While the deep purple-brown color works in a variety of interiors, it’s specially recommended this season alongside other lush, warm neutrals to give any space that winter cabin-in-the-woods feeling.

“Pair it with Versatile Gray SW 6072 (242-C2) and Henna Shade SW 6326 (114-C5) to convey the warmth of a rustic retreat,” the brand shared. Additionally, the shade shares a color story with Snowfall SW 6000, Fragile Beauty SW 7553, and Coquina SW 9158
