Canadian paint brand Beauti-Tone has chosen its trending Color of the Year 2020: Honey I’m Home SC193-3.

The depth-adding warm golden shade was selected by stylist Simon Chang and his team at Beauti-Tone a division of Hardware Stores Ltd. Honey I’m Home (Tout miele) is part of the larger 24-shade Simon Chang 2019/20 Trend Color Collection, which takes inspiration from high-fashion runways.

“This warm, golden hue reflects the resurgence of camel in fashion and home,” Chang said in a press statement. “This is a color that will create beauty anywhere in your home—walls, furniture, floors and accents.”

Bev Bell, creative director of Beauti-Tone paint and home products, added that this color points to a larger cultural attitude shift within the country.

“Canadians are craving calm,” said Bell. “When we walk through out front door, we want to leave stress and trouble outside. ‘Honey I’m Home’ is a sweet color that we can simply melt into.”
