Pratt & Lambert Names Songbird 2020 Color of the Year

Heritage paint brand Pratt & Lambert Paints has announced its 2020 Color of the Year selection as Songbird.

According to the brand, the soothing and versatile mint green shade is all about embracing mental clarity and self-care, while also blurring the restrictive lines of time and space.

“We are living in a modern world surrounded by historic art and architecture—we’re continually trying to find ways to harmoniously merge [past and present],” Pratt & Lambert’s senior color designer Ashley Banbury told AD PRO. “Our desire to preserve and admire history speaks to our desire to have a connection to meaningful pieces in our home.”

Pratt & Lambert’s 2019 Color of the Year was Earthen Trail, a calming terracotta neutral that could also read as a pastel sherbet. Songbird is a beautiful continuation of this ongoing light and versatile color story.
