Keilhauer Partners With IIDA As Exclusive Sponsor Of The Foundation’s Sustainable Design Education Fund

Keilhauer is pleased to introduce the Keilhauer Sustainable Design  Education Fund, a newly-developed grant that supports ten IIDA members per year who  successfully complete the LEED exam and seek to practice sustainable design strategies.

Interior designers that are LEED certified demonstrate to clients and employers that they are dedicated to incorporating environmental sustainability and the health and safety of occupants in their practice, a key tenet of both IIDA and Keilhauer’s missions.

Keilhauer’s annual sponsorship will 100% fund the exam costs of ten IIDA Student, Associate, or Professional members who have passed the LEED Green Associate or LEED AP exam. This award will be open twice annually, in the winter and summer, and will be awarded to five IIDA members per season.

“Keilhauer is proud to partner with IIDA on such an important initiative,” says Meghan Sherwin, Chief Marketing Officer at Keilhauer. “With the Keilhauer Sustainable Design Education Fund, we hope to encourage and inspire IIDA members to become LEED certified designers, in an effort to expand their knowledge and practice sustainability within their future projects.”

Managed through the IIDA Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit philanthropic organization with a mission to drive innovation and advancements in the commercial interior design field, the Keilhauer Sustainable Design Education Fund, together with IIDA’s NCIDQ Reimbursement Fund and WELL Sustainable Design Fund, offer IIDA members the opportunity for tuition reimbursement for seeking continuing education and certification in the industry.

IIDA is the commercial interior design association with global reach. We support design professionals, industry affiliates, educators, students, firms, and their clients through our network of 15,000+ members across 58 countries. We advocate for advancements in education, design excellence, legislation, leadership, accreditation, and community outreach to increase the value and understanding of interior design as a profession that enhances business value and positively impacts the health and well-being of people’s lives every day.
