Miami Design on a Dime to Benefit Housing Works

Now in its fourth year, the Miami-based Design on a Dime benefit is scheduled for February 1st-3rd, 2019 and is gearing up to be another exciting, memorable celebration of design and philanthropy.

As in years past, interior designers are invited to the Moore Building in Miami’s Design District where they create unique room vignettes using donated furniture and decor from top brands. The items are then sold during the 3-day event, with proceeds going directly to Housing Works’ AIDS-FREE USA 2025 campaign.

The event is hosted by Chair James Huniford and features designs by an all-star designer lineup, including Aaron Mapp, Britto Charette, Fava Design Group, Miguel Lewis, Nicole White Designs Interiors, Maggie Cruz, A. Keith Powell, and more.

In addition to the highly anticipated room vignettes, numerous other events round out the schedule. The Chairman’s Dinner, a rooftop dinner honoring Avra Jain and Wade Wallock, is planned for February 1st at 8 pm and will serve as a kickoff to the benefit. VIPS are invited to a special preview event from 5:30 to 6:30 on February 2nd. Afterward, designers and ticket holders can shop the curated designs until 9:30 pm. The public is invited to attend the benefit from 10:00 to 5:00 pm on the 3rd.

“To follow the conversation on social media about the event, please use the hashtag #DOADMIA19,” suggests event organizers.

Since it began, Design on a Dime has raised over $15 million for Housing Works. This money goes right back into the organization’s programming which is geared toward eliminating the AIDS epidemic and homelessness through design and fashion.
