Luxury brand Christopher Guy is celebrating the highly-anticipated CG NY Showroom opening today, May 21. The space will be located on the ground level of the New York Design Center at 200 Lexington Avenue.

The showroom will commemorate its grand opening tonight with a special reception and ribbon cutting ceremony held from 5 PM to 8 PM. The House Tipster Industry team will be on the scene to catch the unveiling and live stream highlights from the milestone occasion.

This showroom opening comes on the heels of the company’s decision to close its Las Vegas and High Point trade showrooms last month in an effort to focus on branded retail-focused locations in bigger cities.

“For a brand to remain relevant, there is the constant need to evolve, even more so today as countless online marketplaces open their doors offering lower prices with similar offerings,” founder and CEO Christopher Guy Harrison said about the decision in a press statement.

“We are truly grateful to the IMC Markets in Las Vegas and High Point where we have made so many wonderful friends and partners as a result of our showrooms.”

Now, Christopher Guy is shifting its focus to a more direct consumer relationship.

“Our focus in the U.S. will be on our flagship retail showrooms in Los Angeles and New York alongside our very own online CG presence, serving the professional designer and public across the Americas,” he added.
