Kelli Ellis

Interior designer. Product designer. Artist. Author.  Influencer. Kelli Ellis doesn’t fit into a single box.

Kelli Ellis

In the design industry, she’s everywhere– and for good reason. Her mantra is that luxury can and should be livable. It’s this idea that inspires her designs and results in a look that’s modern, worldly, and above all, glamorous.

When Ellis isn’t designing spaces for her A-list clientele, she’s lending her expertise on HGTV, and creating art for Leftbank Art. Here’s everything you need to know about one of our favorite designers, Kelli Ellis.

A Creator at Heart

At her core, Kelli Ellis is a creator.

Ellis had the unique opportunity to travel and learn about international styles during her formative years, while at the same time earning her BA in Marketing, a law degree from Western State University, and a liberal arts degree from the University of London.  From there, she obtained her Certificate in Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute in California, and the rest was history.

Soon after obtaining her certificate, Ellis’ design career exploded, partly because of the style she brings to the table, which she describes as “representing the epitome of livable luxury, casual international style mixed with rock star glam.”

The Interior Design Experience

This blend of causal and rockstar glam appeals to clients all over the world, including A-list celebrities like Maria Menounos of E!Network, actress Ashley Greene, and Robert and Kym Herjavec from Dancing with the Stars and Shark Tank.

But it’s not just her designs that make her work stand out; it’s also Ellis’ approach. The psychology behind design is always something that fascinated Ellis, and she strives to incorporate her training as a Certified Life Coach and a Design Psychology Coach into all her projects.

Thankfully, you don’t have to be a well-known figure to work with Kelli. In fact, she offers an online design tool so virtually anyone can create the home of their dreams with her help.

Made for Television

Because Ellis exudes vibrancy and captivating style, she’s a natural fit for design television.

She is a regular on HGTV shows like Takeover My Makeover, Celebrity Holiday Homes, and House Hunters Renovation, and other network programs such as TLC’s Clean Sweep, as well as her own show, Design Therapy, on The Design Network. She also lends her expertise to clients on television, including the homes and offices for The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Products and Endorsements

The Kelli Ellis brand spans even further from television and interior design into product design and development. Ellis works with multiple manufacturers to create custom designed, accessible pieces for consumers around the world.

In collaboration with Sunpan, Ellis unveiled The Kelli Ellis Collection x Sunpan in the spring of 2018. This stunning line includes occasional seating and table options featuring on-trend colors and performance fabrics.

Ellis’ artistic side is on full display through her collection with Leftbank Art. The expansive collection speaks to Ellis’ bold, dramatic style.

The Kelli Ellis Collection for Tilebar, a glass line with glass powerhouse Doug Frates, linens with Instalinen, and a beautiful array of outdoor rugs with Jaipur Rugs International round out Ellis’ contributions to the world of home furniture and decor.

And There’s More

All of this exposure across the entire design industry spectrum has elevated Ellis to the status of an expert and trend influencer.

She often speaks at high-profile industry events such as Maison & Objet, High Point Market, and Las Vegas Market. For 2018’s Maison & Object expo, she served as the American Ambassador, and partnered with Global Trend Ambassador, Patti Carpenter, to recap the event’s hottest trends.

Did we mention that she’s also an author? Ellis’ take on designing a home based on the individual, aptly titled Do I Look Skinny In This House?, combines all her design psychology teachings and real-life experience into a highly-enjoyable read.

With so much going on and brand recognition to boot, it’s no wonder Kelli Ellis is helping shape the present and future of design. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
