The U.S. Green Building Council has announced a new event called Design 4 People 2019, the first annual industry conference on Wellness Occupancy and Design. Industry professionals in architecture, interior design, sustainability, and beyond are being invited to attend this kick-off event.

The upcoming Design 4 People event will be taking place October 23-24, 2019 in Boston, MA at the Design Center. The two-day think tank is intended to inspire all design, construction, and operations professionals through the sharing of top talent’s success stories and innovative idea exchanges.

“The program will focus on how materials, and design come together to improve people’s health within the build environment,” USGBC Massachusetts shared in a community announcement release. “Improving design through the use of materials for better health and performance will create new projects for architects, interior designers and other design professionals.”

“Design in the community is changing to focus on improving people’s health productivity and well-being though improved air quality, material choices and day lighting,” said Meredith Elbaum, Executive Director of USGBC Massachusetts, in a press statement. “We’ve put together this exciting new conference to highlight some new innovative practices that will improve people’s health based on incorporating wellness principles.”
