Old Preston Hollow Home Selected For The Third Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas

The internationally recognized Kips Bay Decorator Show House, hosted by premier youth organization Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, announced today the location of its third annual Decorator Show House in Dallas, Texas. The highly esteemed design event has claimed 9250 Meadowbrook Drive in Old Preston Hollow’s Sunnybrook Estates neighborhood as its 2022 location. The Show House will be open to the public for one month beginning Friday, September 23, 2022. The Show House doubles as the nation’s leading design event of the year and Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s top fundraiser.

“We’re delighted to return this year to Dallas and the Old Preston Hollow neighborhood which will act as the backdrop for the raising of essential funding for New York City’s youth,” notes James Druckman, President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “We’re eager to unveil what our top-notch group of designers has in store for the extraordinary space this September.”

Situated in the heart of Old Preston Hollow, this single-family home sits on 2.3 acres and includes 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and 12,470 square feet. The property comes complete with an elevator, 4 car garage, motor court, guest in home quarters, pool house apartment and has floor to ceiling glass walls in all major rooms, limestone and wood flooring, exquisite marbles and granites, cut crystal chandeliers, slate roof, and copper gutters.

This September, the desirable residence will call upon a group of leading interior designers to transform individual rooms before opening to the public for viewing.

“This is such an important event for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and the design industry alike,” said Dan Quintero, the Executive Director of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the Dallas community to the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas again this year and continue to raise critical funding for our kids and community.”

For nearly half a century, top interior designers have come together to raise more than $25 million for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club of New York, which provides young people with educational and developmental programs in the city. The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas co-chairs are Jean Liu, Chad Dorsey, and Jan Showers; Laura Falconer and Trish Sheats serve as vice chairs. Jamie Drake and Veranda Editor in Chief Steele Marcoux are honorary chairs.

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas will benefit two local charities: Dwell with Dignity, a nonprofit agency dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty, and The Crystal Charity Ball, another Dallas-based organization whose mission is to aid, support and make contributions to children’s charities in Dallas County.
