The second annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach will be opening to the public from January 26, 2019 through February 20. A dazzling display of design possibilities, the event will also be giving back to a great cause. The beautiful project will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, along with the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in Bronx, New York that started it all.
The 21 designers for the 2019 show house have already begun work on remodeling The Fountain House, a Mediterranean-style home along the Intracoastal Waterway. We can look forward to seeing a variety of different styles and diverse talents on display in each room of the property. As part of this year’s designer line-up, designers from all around the United States are representing their regions.
Palm Beach locals Mitchell Brown of David Mitchell Brown and Jennifer Garrigues of Jennifer Garrigues Inc. will both be creating rooms for the show house this year. Florida locals Leanne Yarn of Yarn Design Associates in Boca Raton; Louise Cronan of Louise W. Cronan Interior Decoration in West Palm Beach; Krista Watterworth Alterman of Krista + Home in Palm Beach Gardens; and Andres Paradelo of Paradelo Burgess Design Studio in West Palm Beach are all set to show off their designs as well.
Representing the South are also Atlanta-based Georgian designers Mark Williams and Niki Papadoploulos of Mark Williams Design Associates and Danielle Rollins of Danielle Rollins Interiors. Additionally, Lee W. Robinson and Kyle Johnson of The Lee W. Robinson Co. from Louisville, Kentucky and Jason Arnold of Jason Arnold Interiors from Nashville, Tennessee will showcase their designs.
Bringing some of Kips Bay’s New York City roots to the Palm Beach Show House this year will be city-based David Scott of David Scott Interiors and Jessica Schuster of Jessica Shuster Design. The greater New York State area will be represented by Manhasset’s Vasi Ypsilantis of The Breakfast Room LTD and Vasi Ypsilantis Design Associates and Meg Braff of Meg Braff Designs in Locust Valley.
Fellow East Coasters involved in the event are Connecticut-based designers Billy Ceglia of Billy Ceglia Designs in Sandy Hook; Greenwich’s Lee Anne Thornton of Lee Ann Thornton Interiors and Cindy Rinfret of Rinfret Ltd. Interior Design & Decoration; and Southport’s Tina Anastasia of Mark P. Finley Interiors.
Californians in this year’s show house include Amy Meier of Amy Meier Design in Rancho Santa Fe and Los Angeles-based designers David Phoenix of David Phoenix Interior Design and Peter Dunham of Peter Dunham Designs.
Esteemed interior designer Bunny Williams is returning again this year to be the Honorary Show House Chair, along with Design Chairs Ellie Cullman, Pauline Pitt, and Steele Marcoux.
“We are excited to welcome another talented group of designers to the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach program,” she said in a statement. “We look forward to showcasing design inspirations by this year’s roster of industry leaders in a remarkable location for a very worthy cause.”
James Druckman, President and CEO of the New York Design Center, and President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, added that he is thrilled for the show house to grow.
“The Kips Bay Decorator Show House has been the gold standard of show houses for more than four decades, and holding an event in South Florida has provided even more opportunities for the design community to bring forward creative and innovation design,” he said. “We are excited to return to Palm Beach for another successful season and partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County to raise critical programming funds for the children served by our respective clubs.”
