Toronto-based designer Colette van den Thillart of Colette can den Thillart Interior Design brought whimsy and charm to the sunny outdoor dining terrace of the 2020 Palm Beach Kips Bay Decorator Show House.

The cozy enclave brings together the best of Florida’s organic green nature, stylish and intimate conversation-starting seating arrangements, and a display of finely curated art.

“Encompassed by bougainvillea and bookended by custom trellises, the space features a black and white color scheme with subtle touches of curry and Naples yellow that celebrate the Florida sunshine,” said a Kips Bay press release. “A custom hand-loomed carpet by New Moon Rugs grounds the space, while Turkish cushions, lanterns from Serena & Lily, and a bar fit for entertaining create a laid-back space for cocktails or al fresco dining.”

To create this beautiful oasis, van den Thillart worked with a variety of vendors and brands, including Currey & Company, Fabricut, The Shade Store, Turnell and Gigon, Bridget Vizoso Flowers, Soane Britain, Y&Co, Christopher Farr Cloth, McKinnon and Harris, Fermoie, Serena & Lily, Fuller Architectural Panels, Classic Mouldings Inc., New Moon Rugs, Francesco Simeti, Lori Jayne, and more, along with several pieces from her own product line.

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach, which is located at 260 Palmetto Lane, will be open now through March 1, 2020. Tickets are available on the event’s website in advance or at the door.
