West Hollywood-based interior designer Joe Lucas of Lucas Studio, Inc. completely transformed a guest home suite for the charity-supporting 2020 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach, now on grand display.
Lucas’ latest Florida project, titled “The Palmetto Snug” is composed of a guest suite, bathroom, and outdoor terrace area. Warm and inviting, the space brings together a beautifully curated collection of artwork, fresh florals, and sculptural furnishings and accessories.
“Inspired by the subtle parchment and pink hues of the Fromental abstract wallpaper, the room features coastal touches of pinks and corals, vintage rush chairs, a relaxed roman shade in custom fabric by The Shade Store, a well-appointed bar and sculptural pieces throughout, creating the perfect atmosphere for a cocktail by the custom fireplace on a chilly evening,” according to show notes from Kips Bay.
“The bath was completely transformed with terrazzo tile, CW Stockwell wallpaper and new plumbing fixtures by Kohler. The outdoor terrace features a collection of vintage French rattan furniture and a stone dining table by Serena & Lily, while hand painted shells from Cape Town adorn the walls.”
Additionally, the designer worked with J. Samuel Textiles, Danny Kaplan Studio NYC, Philip Crangi, Amy Meier Design, Bridget Vizoso Floral Design, Ainsworth Noah, Atelier Vime, Merida Studio, Isobel Shop, and more artisans and luxury vendors.
