Garcia first founded LebaTex in 1999 as her first start-up, and named the business after her great-grandmother, Leba.
“I’m a surface pattern designer by training, and I jumped off the cliff 20 years ago, and I say, thank God built my wings on the way down,” Garcia told us about her business. “It has been 20 years of love, 20 years of fun, and 20 years of sublime hospitality industry with some really amazing textiles.”
For this special anniversary collection, LebaTex partnered with a host of impressive designers to create custom patterns, including Jacki Arena of Jacki Arena Interiors, Michael Caradine of ACC Design, Emily Caplow and Tony Knoph for Stonehill Taylor, Malcolm Berg for EoA, Donald Strum for Michael Graves Design, Jeffrey Beers of Jeffrey Beers Intenational, Meri Meis, Gina Joyce of Joyce Design Group, Jeff Orenstein for J/Brice Design, Pam Niemann and Suzanne Meyer for Niemann Interiors, Amy Smith and Craig Smith for Portfolio for Hospitality, Daina De Angelo and Tammie Beer for HDB Design Group, Gary Inman for Baskervill, Lesley Hughs Wyman and Tamara Ainsworth for Matchline Design Group, and more.
The line currently is showing off 15 of its anniversary season designs, which has been partially released in three parts so far. The range is colorful, whimsical, and filled with the character of the collaborating artists.
