Thermon Designs Presents Holiday House Hamptons Master Bathroom Suite

Design partners Maria Pyrros and Laura Nigro of Thermon Designs created a master his-and-hers bathroom suite called “Organic Timeless Elegance” for this year’s Holiday House Hamptons. The space, unveiled at the charity show in Water Mill, New York, blends nature themes with opulent fixtures, perfect for the great indoors.

“We wanted to create a space that is very elegant, fitting into the Hamptons ambience, and true to the style of the home,” the designers shared in their show notes. “We believe that the organic forms enhance the warmth and sense of tranquility in a space.”

To create the elegant and tranquil space, Thermon Designs worked with a variety of luxury vendors and artists, including Currey & Company, Élitis Inc., Arteriors, Redmen Painting, Christopher Martin Gallery, Alexander Lamont Through Angela Brown Ltd., Hudson Valley Lighting, Carpetman of the Hamptons, Ocano, Oly Studio, Hildreths Home Goods & Patio, and more.

In addition to the separate his-and-hers water closets and stand-up showers, the room also features a gorgeous dressing room, relaxing bathtub space, a metal draped chandelier, and a vanity mirror setup in its practical and inviting space.

House Tipster Industry guest host Alexis Parent of Alexis Parent Interiors was able to meet with Laura Nigro at the 2019 beach-side show house’s press unveiling event to hear all about many of the space’s most stand-out features.

Our own favorites list includes some of the tone-setting Élitis vinyl wallpaper patterns, and striking Liz Sloan artwork.

Both represent an overall theme for the room: inspiration drawn from this year’s Hamptons House’s barn-style location.

“We wanted to do a graphic wallpaper and we went with what the house was, with the black windows,” Nigro explained of the graphic black and white print seen throughout the room’s “hers” side.

“Since we didn’t have a client we were designing for, we decided to design for the house.”

In the gentleman’s bathroom, bold vinyl wallpaper, dramatic lighting, and eye-catching artwork are also the star features, which ties the darker, more masculine space back to the larger feminine suite.

In addition to these defining elements, the men’s room displays a captivating plant arrangement, adding in great natural greenery.
