This Labor Day weekend, Jane Seymour is presenting her latest art exhibition, “California Colorist,” at Ocean Galleries in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. The House Tipster Industry team was on the scene for the artist’s opening event this morning, where we got the first look at Seymour’s paintings and sculptures.
The talented actress, designer, and artist is pleased to be showcasing her colorful beachscapes and figurative paintings along with some of her iconic “open heart” designs.

The star told us that she took naturally to art, and has been developing her skills over the years. But she can remember being drawn to creative activities since her earliest school days.
“I’ve been painting since I was a child. My mom saved all my school books and everything like that, and I’ve been painting and drawing since I can remember,” Seymour told us. “I would do tiny miniatures of people, and I’d somehow always draw realistically. I just had a knack for it. But painting the way you see it here, started when I was 40. So it’s been about 28 years I’ve been doing this.”

“Painting is just the greatest therapy for me,” Seymour added. “That’s what I do for myself, that’s what makes me happy.”
“In fact, if I’m anywhere and there’s even just a pen and ink or a brush and one color, I just can’t stop,” she explained. “Once I get started, it’s very therapeutic and addictive. The juices flow and I forget to eat, drink, talk, or answer the phone. I am gone in another world.”

Seymour’s creativity sparkles through her latest exhibition, which brings in many Impressionist-inspired pieces influenced by her Malibu, California home studio.
Several special guests joined Jane Seymour for her exciting new gallery opening event, including Judy Davies-Dunhour, the mayor of Stone Harbor and the director of Cape May County Animal Shelter, Ocean Galleries owner Kim Miller, and more.
