Meet the 23 Designers of Kips Bay Decorator Show House NYC 2019

The list of esteemed designers participating in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York City this spring was recently revealed – and each talented designer has such a different artistic point of view. To get you all prepped, we’ve got your ultimate breakdown of which design firms and creators will be spotlighting their work up ahead this April.

Twenty-three top designers and architects local to New York and from all around the country will be joining forces for the upcoming show house, which the organization’s 47th charity-supporting annual event in Manhattan. The house will be open to the public from May 2-31, 2019 – and it will offer a wonderful glimpse into this unique blend of designers’ personal styles while raising funds for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s programming.

Cullman & Kravis Associates

At Kips Bay 2019, New York City-based Cullman & Kravis Associates will be represented by design partners Lee Cavanaugh and Alyssa Urban, who have been with the firm since the 90s, and senior designers Katie Sutton and Dani Mazza. The firm, founded in 1984, is known for high-quality design and personal service with clients, and its standout “modern traditional” aesthetic.

Eve Robinson Associates

Eve Robinson of NYC-based Eve Robinson Associates is a longtime active participant in the Kips Bay show, and will be returning this year to display her signature of comfortable and sophisticated designs. The designer’s firm is known for mixing styles and textures to create one-of-a-kind, livable spaces for their clients, and we know the Kips Bay room will be positively magical.

Gluckstein Design

Brian Gluckstein of Gluckstein Design works in Toronto, New York, and Palm Beach. Everywhere he goes, he creates bespoke interior designs full of impeccable traditional details and luxurious modern spaces. He also is behind the sophisticated Gluckstein Home product line of everyday home essentials for living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms, which was launched in 1999.

Charlotte Moss

Charlotte Moss for Fabricut

This year, Charlotte Moss is celebrating 34 years in the design business – and she has certainly made her mark and accomplished a great deal in that time. She has designed collections of furniture and upholstery with Century Furniture, created fabrics with Fabricut, carpets with Stark Carpet, and more. Moss has recently collaborated with PE Geurin to expand into fashion, creating a collection of cuff bracelets inspired by the brand’s archive of historical designs. Her most recent book, Charlotte Moss Entertains, was published by Rizzoli in 2018.

J. Cohler Mason Design

Interior designer Jennifer Cohler Mason is known for her collaborative approach to designs, which puts her clients at the forefront and spotlights skilled artisans and craftsman. Mason has a background as a fashion designer, so her spaces exhibit her excellence with fabric selection and proportion. Her firm focuses on interiors that are inviting and warm, and are timeless with a contemporary twist.

Peter Pennoyer Architects

Peter Pennoyer of award-winning New York-based architecture and design firm Peter Pennoyer Architects works with high-end residential and commercial design projects, finding the distinct character and charm in each project. Pennoyer is a member of Architectural Digest‘s AD100, president of the Whiting Foundation, and a trustee of the Morgan Library and Museum in New York. He has also co-authored several books on historical architecture.

Sheila Bridges Design

Sheila Bridges started her interior design firm in 1994, and her Sheila Bridges Home, Inc. furnishings collection in 1996. The designer has worked on residences and offices for high-profile clients like entertainers and business professionals. She notably designed the Harlem offices for former President Bill Clinton. Additionally, she has hosted four seasons of the television program Sheila Bridges Designer Living for the Fine Living network.

Jim Dove Design

Kitchen designer Jim Dove of Dove Design Studio has over 25 years of industry experience creating architecturally-inspired kitchens with top-of-the-line pieces. He works out of Short Hills, New Jersey and Palm Beach, Florida – and we can’t wait to see how he transforms this season’s Kips Bay space.

Delaney + Chin

Topher Delaney, Lead Artist and Director of Delaney + Chin, will be representing the firm at this year’s Kips Bay event. Delaney holds a a B.L.A. in Landscape Architecture fromthe University of California Berkeley, and works with installations across multiple mediums. Past commissions have included public urban plazas, corporate rooftop gardens, and botanical gardens.

Jeff Lincoln Interiors

Three generations of interior designers are behind Jeff Lincoln Interiors, Inc., which has offices in New York, Southampton, and Vero Beach, Florida. Jeff Lincoln’s father, who created projects for top brands like Chanel, Hermès, and Esteé Lauder, taught him a love for refined and elegant design. This NYC-based firm has been a staple at past Kips Bay Show Houses, and will surely make a triumphant return this spring!

Matthew Monroe Bees Interior Decoration

Charleston, South Carolina-based interior designer Matthew Monroe Bees learned charming Southern design early on from his grandmother – and went on to make the style all his own. Distinctly Southern color, patterns, and accessories take the spotlight in his warm and inviting spaces, which are sure to stand out at Kips Bay!

Katherine Newman Design

Principles designer Katherine Newman and architect Peter Cebulak make up the lead on all of Katherine Newman Design’s projects. The Toronto-born designer focuses on decorative arts, and has an appreciation for collectible arts and modernist details. Cebulak is from Poland, and has studied architecture while working as an artist. The firm has been part of large-scale commissions across the globe.

Christopher Peacock

Christopher Peacock started his career working at Terence Conran’s furniture store in London during the 80s, and launched Christopher Peacock Cabinetry in Connecticut in the early 90s. In the years since, his brand has opened showrooms across the U.S. and Europe, with an additional location coming soon to Jakarta, Indonesia later this year. The brand become known globally for its luxury cabinetry, and Peacock has had the opportunity to work with many celebrity clients, including U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. This year will mark the designer’s seventh year as part of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House.

Corey Damen Jenkins

Interior designer Corey Damen Jenkins of Michigan-based Corey Damen Jenkins and Associates, LLC. gets color and style inspiration from high fashion runways, and works to give residential clients a high-end space full of sculptural fixtures and opulent detailing. In 2016, he launchedthe Corey Damen Jenkins Exclusively for Leathercraft couture home furnishings collection. Jenkins is also the winner of HGTV’s audience-voted reality TV show series, Showhouse Showdown.

Sarah Bartholomew Design

Sarah Bartholomew Design, LLC. was founded in 2010, to give clients the elegant spaces they crave informed by livability and practicality. She runs SB., a retail store in Nashville, Tennessee that offers shoppers art, antiques, upholstery, and more items inspired by her design firm’s timeless aesthetic. In 2018, Bartholomew also launched her own home furnishings and accessories collection with Pottery Barn.

Young Huh

Detroit native and current Westchester, NY resident Young Huh is a returning participant for the Kips Bay Decorator Show House, debuting with the show in 2014. She has also participated in the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island and is a National Kitchen & Bath Association Bath + Kitchen Insider and board member. In addition to her eponymous interior design firm, which she founded in 2007, Huh is an accomplished product designer who has worked on fabric with Peter Fasano and glass and mosaics for AKDO.

Paloma Contreras Design

Houston, Texas-based interior designer Paloma Contreras transforms refined, traditional styles into modern designs full of color and timeless pieces. The designer has worked on projects with major brads like Kitchen Aid, Nest, Kohler, One Kings Lane, Bravo TV, and more, and her firm has done additional project designs across New York, California, Illinois, and more.

Pappas Miron Design

This full-service interior design firm is a luxurious Manhattan staple founded by the team of Alexandra Pappas and Tatyana Miron Ahlers. The accomplished designers love using antiques and vintage textiles in juxtaposition with modern works from new artisans, for a truly one-of-a-kind feel. We can’t wait to see what fabulous finds they show off this Kips Bay season!

Richard Rabel Interiors + Art

Richard Rabel of  the Manhattan studio Richard Rabel Interiors + Art, Ltd. has a modern, eclectic aesthetic inspired by a lifetime of global travels that bring out interiors’ visual personality. Rabel was a Senior Vice President and Senior Specialist at Christies for ten years, and has studied under international architect Ugo di Pace.

Robert Passal Interior Design In Collaboration with Daniel Kahan Architecture and Daniel Kahan of Smith and Moore Architects

NYC-based interior designer Robert Passal is teaming up with principal architect and designer Daniel Kahan of Smith and Moore Architects in Palm Beach, Florida for this Kips Bay show. Passal is known for luxurious yet livable spaces, and Kahan is all about modern simplicity and classical art and architecture.

Studio DB

Partners Damian and Britt Zunino head Manhattan-based Studio DB, which brings together exquisite architecture and design for residential, commercial, and development projects. The company specializes in finding design solutions in situations with construction limitations, and making each project livable and special. The team will no doubt thrive in this year’s Kips Bay show!

Vicente Wolf Associates

With over 45 years of experience, Vicente Wolf of New York City is constantly finding new innovations and inspirations within the design world. Wolf’s passion for interior design, art, photography, and international travel collide in his work. In addition to all these talents, Wolf is also an speaker, book author, and retailer.
