When it comes to made-to-order range hoods, the New Jersey-based manufacturer RangeCraft remains one of the design industry’s go-to sources. RangeCraft’s customization capabilities, combined with high-quality materials and quick turn around time, are just a few of the reasons the company continues to stand out year after year.
During the 2018 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, RangeCraft President Ramona Pamus and her son, Production Manager David Podwyszynski, took House Tipster on an exclusive tour around their spectacular showroom.
RangeCraft designs and manufactures a wide selection of wall and ceiling-mounted ranges, all of which are customized based on size and finishes. Designers can choose one of the 200 available colors/finishes, decorative features like recessed bands, seamless corners, rivets, buttons, crystals, as well as functional elements like rails and books. “The choice is yours,” Pamus and Podwyszynski explained.
Unlike mass-produced range hoods, everything hand-manufactured by RangeCraft contains a quiet internal fan, on/off light switches, halogen light, a micro baffle filter, and optional dimmer switches.
RangeCraft’s quilted hood and backsplash, a favorite among customers nationwide, was just one of the many showstoppers at KBIS. Pamus and Podwyszinski noted that the quilted pattern is created in-shop, and can be accented with decorative features. This style, as well as other range + backsplash combos, always contain the highest-quality materials, including raw copper and brass.
The real star of the showroom was RangeCraft’s new, award-winning storage hoods, designed by Powdwyszinski himself! “A lot of times, adding a range hood compromises storage,” he explained. But these built-in storage range hoods features expertly-placed drop-down shelves operated with hydraulic pistons and stepped back trim to hold items like spices.
For customers running low on time, or who don’t need a truly custom product, RangeCraft is in the process of creating a line of standard products that are pre-designed, ultimately eliminating shop drawings and designs.
