Every 30 days, Sherwin-Williams names a trending paint Color of the Month pick. The June 2020 hue is a dusty salmon shade.

This month, the paint brand is highlighting Coral Clay, SW 9005 (114-C4) as an emerging trend. Depending on your styling, the warm, neutral-toned red could work well as more of a summery salmon pink or beachy coral. It could just as easily bring out natural clay pot shades in your outdoor landscaping design.

Sherwin-Williams describes this color’s effect as “a versatile hue that can lean energetic or muted, effervescent or ethereal.” What does that mean, you ask? Play it up as a standout star shade in your space, or use it as a neutral to kick up your warm color palettes another notch.

So which specific complementary colors does the brand recommend with the magical Coral Clay?

“Combine it with Sealskin SW 7675 (277-C7), Snowbound SW 7004 (256-C2), Ripe Olive SW 6209 (217-C7) or Kingdom Gold SW 6698 (137-C5) for a contemporary yet individualistic look,” Sherwin-Williams shared about the shade.
