Maison F.P. Journe Opens at EPIC Hotel Miami

Swiss watch manufacturer F.P. Journe is celebrating the opening of the new Maison F.P. Journe space at the EPIC Hotel.

This two-story location was moved from Bal Harbour to its new downtown Miami home, and it’s better than ever! The gathering space honors the innovative and revolutionary technology behind the brand’s high-end wristwatch designs. The space also features decadent fixtures as far as the eye can see, including the fine and rare spirits bar, Bar Journe, two lounge areas, and a Terraza Astondoa – an outdoor fine and rare cigar lounge furnished by family-owned Spanish yacht builder Astilleros Astondoa.

According to a press release for the opening, this location “embodies the exclusivity and exquisiteness of the watchmaker and their allied partners.”

“As a master watchmaker himself, founder François-Paul Journe is considered a horological genius, producing watches one-by-one with exceptional precision,” the brand explained. “Manufactured in the heart of Geneva at the crossroads of arts and haute horology, F.P. Journe honors its artisanal work and prides itself in its attention to detail for creating only the most exceptional and fine watches. Given the shared pursuit of excellence of all partners, visitors can expect only the highest-quality service and seasoned expertise at Maison F.P. Journe.”

Guests can visit this space by going through the lobby of the EPIC Hotel in downtown Miami. Within the glass atrium space, visitors will see F.P. Journe encased in striking glass vitrines. And of course, the sunny views are everything! The location features breathtaking, stunning views of the Miami River, as well as the vibrant city.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of Maison F.P.Journe at the EPIC Hotel in the heart of downtown Miami,” François-Paul Journe said in a statement. “It is an honor to be partnering with brands who share the same values as we do; entities that are family-owned and highly passionate in their respective crafts. We are excited to offer the finest bar and lounge experience to watch enthusiasts and connoisseurs.”

“What sets us apart from other horology brands is that we’ve taken retail experience to another level by creating what no other watchmaker has done yet, and that is to bring a one-of-a-kind destination combined with a heightened beverage experience to the city of Miami,” the company president added. “We are confident that it will be a great success and hope to become the #1 place to gather in the luxury world!”

In addition to being a design treat, the bar is also open to the public. Jennifer Massolo, the founder of The Liquid Projects and creator of Bar Journe, shared that there’s a worldy, high-quality vibe to the bar that mimics that of the fine wristwatches.

“Bar Journe is a dream project for me where I developed a concept that emulates the level of quality and exclusivity of the F.P.Journe timepieces and brand,” Massolo said. “We will feature the finest expressions in all areas of beverage including wines, beers, coffees and teas but especially distilled spirits. A highlight of the Bar Journe program will be vintage spirits including Soviet era vodkas to go with our Petrossian caviar program as well as pre-embargo era rums from Cuba.”
