This May, the 2019 Kips Bay Decorator Show House is proudly celebrating its grand unveiling in New York City. The House Tipster Industry team was on the scene for an early press preview, where we spied a first look at the home’s impeccable rooms.
Located on the picturesque Upper East Side of Manhattan, this year’s show house is a 12,425 square-foot townhouse that has been transformed by 23 esteemed industry professionals in order to benefit the great work of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s work with children’s programming in the Bronx.
Each creator put their unique design sensibility on display in various luxurious spaces throughout the home, like opulent bedrooms, high-end wet bars, cozy living rooms, tech-driven bathrooms, state of the art kitchens, historically-inspired reading rooms, and much more.
This year’s show house was brought to life through the stunning designs of many talented teams, including: Charlotte Moss, Christopher Peacock, Corey Damen Jenkins, Cullman & Kravis Associates, Delaney + Chin, Eve Robinson Associates, Gluckstein Design, Jeff Lincoln Interiors, J. Cohler Mason Design, Jim Dove Design, Katherine Newman Design, Matthew Monroe Bees Interior Decoration, Paloma Contreras Design, Pappas Miron Design, Peter Pennoyer Architects, Richard Rabel Interiors + Art, Robert Passal Interior Design in collaboration with Daniel Kahan Architecture, Sarah Bartholomew, Sheila Bridges Design, Studio DB, Vicente Wolf Associates, and Young Huh.
These designers each worked with generous sponsors, their longtime partners, and fresh up-and-coming artists to create brilliant design exhibitions filled with fine furnishings, art, and the latest in home technology.
Our editorial team was blown away by the ways each of the talented designers brought modern touches and high-tech functionality to the historical New York building – without sacrificing any of its architectural charm.
Visitors will be able to stop by the 47th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House located at 36-38 East 74th Street, New York, NY 10021 from May 2 – May 30, 2019. All ticket sales go to benefit the cause!
