Mikel Welch Presents Space at Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse 2019

New York City-based (by way of Detroit, Michigan) interior designer, HGTV star, and TLC expert Mikel Welch is proudly participating in this year’s Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse, which is now on grand display in New York.

Brooklyn Heights Association’s latest benefit show house is filled with warm and inviting living spaces, including Welch’s harmonious recreation room. The space, done in a neutral and natural color scheme with a pop of the blue-gray Ressource paint shade Abysse on the walls, features an eclectic mix of different woods, accessories, and unique art pieces.

It truly acts as the heart of the home, an architectural wonder of an 1820s house located at 13 Pineapple Street.

“Special thanks to Room and Board for sponsoring my room and helping me pull things together so quickly!” Welch shared on his Instagram following the show home opening. He credits the company with the more modern seating options, as well as the vintage artifacts. To further furnish and decorate the cozy space, Welch worked with a variety of other luxurious product vendors, including Ressource, Forbes & Lomax, Walker Zanger, Liebherr Appliances, and more.
