Ciuffo Cabinetry & Elizabeth Dow Create Holiday House Hamptons Kitchen

Elizabeth Dow Interiors and the Ciuffo Cabinetry design team and are behind the sleek kitchen and butler’s pantry showcased during this year’s Holiday House Hamptons. The elegant cooking and eating space takes many of its sleek style cues from the sophisticated beach-side location.

Ciuffo Cabinetry designer Gary Ciuffo was inspired by the 2019 charity show house’s location – a modern barn-inspired home in Water Mill, New York – to create an upscale and yet relaxing vacation home.

“I wanted to echo the modern barn-style design of this home throughout the kitchen,” he explained in his show notes. “Therefore, maintaining a minimalistic and organic yet inviting feel was crucial. I also wanted to embrace the sentiment of holiday celebrations with an expansive kitchen design where friends and family can gather and make lasting memories. What better way to celebrate the sharing of life’s most important moments than with a welcoming, spacious kitchen?”

House Tipster Industry guest host Alexis Parent of Alexis Parent Interiors was able to meet with designer Elizabeth Dow and Ciuffo Cabinets VP Joseph Ciuffo at the show house’s press unveiling event. Through their discussion, we learned about how the kitchen’s earliest inspirations were realized in the crisp and functional space.

“I wanted to make sure this kitchen was fully ready, not only for a homeowner, but for a chef, having the ability to prep in multiple spaces at a time,” Joseph Ciuffo said, discussing the benefits of a functional space including two sinks.

Elizabeth Dow Interiors designed the breakfast room’s proprietary wall coverings specifically for the Hamptons show house, and it works extremely well with the Ciuffo Cabinetry pieces and the vintage furniture pieces she wanted to showcase in the fresh, crisp white space.

“We make this [wallpaper] in our studio in Easthampton, and we really wanted to show off the beautiful white cabinetry,” Dow explained. “When we were laying out the room and drawing the floor plan, the round rug really seemed to serve the purpose [and offered other nods to the Hamptons].”
