Iris Dankner Proudly Launches 12th Annual Holiday House NYC

Interior designer Iris Dankner started the Holiday House NYC as a way to combine her talents and passions to give back to the breast cancer research organizations making strides in the medical world. This year, the show celebrated its 12th annual event at 125 East 65th Street in Manhattan.

At this November’s show opening, House Tipster Industry had the chance to speak with Dankner and Holiday House Director of Brand Development, Debra Halpert. We learned that each of the participating designers – many working local to the New York – are tasked with the challenge of creating a different room inspired by a holiday or a day of personal meaning to them. Ultimately, the show is meant to be a celebration of life.

“Holiday House is something that is very close to my heart as an interior designer and 22-year breast cancer survivor,” Dankner shared. “I founded Holiday House as a way to raise awareness and raise money in the interior design world to eradicate breast cancer.”

The show house is also hosting a series of helpful events and workshops throughout its month-long display. Meditation sessions will be led by Bee Bosnak and Yuri Dhara along with yoga and wellness activities; surgeons from Sloan Kettering will talk cancer treatment and prevention breakthroughs; and art and design talks by 2019’s participating designers and Holiday House moderators will all be available throughout the next few weeks.
