Emily Morrow Home Unveils New Colors at TISE 2019

Color is an important element of any design, but for the Emily Morrow Home range’s designs, every color literally has a story of its own.

Emily Morrow Finkell

Emily Morrow created this luxury hardwood company after having had practiced interior design for 30 years. She decided she wanted to make her skill into her profession, and her brand’s products are inspired by her life and her worldly adventures and all made in the USA.

The House Tipster Industry had the pleasure of speaking with Emily Morrow Finkle, CEO of Emily Morrow Home. We discussed the inspiration behind her designs, and the names in her new color palette.

“A lot of people looked at our line last year and loved it, so we have created ten new skews that are a 3.5 mm wear layer, which is additional wood on top of the product,” said Morrow. “It’s all 100% hardwood, and it’s all sourced, made, and finished in the USA. It has a wonderful aluminum oxide finish.”

Morrow explained in detail about how the color Great Migration was created.

“I was on a little vacation taking my children and grandchildren on safari, and you look at these colors of the great migration and you feel the sensation of the earth and all those animals moving, and you think, those are the perfect colors,” said Morrow. “The colors of nature. When you have this kind of brain it’s a blessing and curse. I’m always in the process of curating and looking at trends. It’s a continual building of what’s out there.”

Morrow’s new colors have names like Great Migration, Moon River, Total Eclipse, and Santa Rosa. Serughetti Spirit is a special color, because it’s the one behind the meaning of a special project Morrow has been working on.

“Serughetti Spirit is just very clean and looks unfinished,” said Morrow. “We’ve aligned it to our cause project, which are the hope clinics in Kenya that we’ve been working with this past year. The hope clinics teach mothers and babies in Kenya about hygiene and clean water.”

Morrow’s brand and premium designs are changing the name of American wood. The high quality of the product and the attention to detail are what make the company stand out.
