With Pride month in full swing, NJ-based digital fabrication studio Timbur is creating an eye-catching new seating piece for auction – the PRIDE bench – and will be donating a portion of sales to The Trevor Project – the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ youths.
Headed by husband-and-wife-team Ezra & Ania Ardolino, Timbur is known for creating distinctive, contemporary furniture through its signature, highly-complex method of stack lamination. In support of the LGBTQ+ community, Ardolino took this project to new bounds, experimenting with a new fabrication method that builds up surfaces and volumes from individually fabricated, stack laminated “strip” components to achieve its uniquely-formed, color-packed qualities.
Kicking off at 12pm ET on Pride Day, June 28th – interested U.S. participants can place bids until midnight through Timbur’s Instagram account (@timburllc). Bidding will begin at $200.00.
Please help us spread the word about this important initiative, and let us know if you’d like more information or to speak with Ezra Ardolino.
