Each month, Ace Hardware‘s Paint Studio reveals its Color of the Month pick for the upcoming 30 days ahead.
This March 2020, the brand is highlighting the beautifully spring weather-inspired shade Rainy Days MAG009/JG-01, which is part of the popular Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines collection from Kilz.
“Rainy Days is a coastal hue with uplifting qualities, perfect for a light and airy space,” The Paint Studio shared on its website. “Rainy Days paired with an off-white hue can promote a sense of calm and well-being to any room type. This color has a coolness that feels clean and contemporary.”
“I love rainy days. I love the sound. I love the smell,” Joanna Gaines added about the color. “When it’s overcast, I light candles. Rainy days put me in a mood to stay home on the couch and curl up with a good book. To me, this color creates the same feeling.”
It’s really about “the comfort of being home and taking in the quiet moments,” she explained.
The brand has specifically recommended the light and stormy Rainy Days as a complementary shade to more spring-ready colors. It pairs beautifully with cherry tomato reds, fresh garden greens, and misty grays.
The suggested coordinating palette from Ace Hardware includes the timeless One Horn White MAG004/JG-11, Sir Drake MAG011/JG-02, and Vine Ripened Tomato MAG012/JG-25, which are all from the Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paint collection.
