Sarah Willett Partners with Castelle for Patina Vie

Designer Sarah Willett is living the dream. In 2019, she opened a flagship store for her brand, Patina Vie, and here at the Spring 2019 High Point Market, she debuted her latest product collaboration with Castelle.

Although she spends her days “barefoot, with no makeup, living fashionable but so comfortably” out of her Ripon, Wisconsin home base, Willett loves the art of product design. In fact, she uses her country and antique-inspired home life to inspire her creations.

“I’m building a brand and lifestyle through products,” Willett told House Tipster host Christopher Grubb at Market.

And she’s beyond prolific. Over the past few years, Willett has created nearly 80 SKUs for rug manufacturer Karastan, and her signature glassware line, also called Patina Vie, sells at trendy retailers such as Neiman Marcus and Anthropologie. But this particular luxury outdoor furniture collaboration with Castelle was exceptionally exciting for Willett.

“It’s dreamy,” she told us. “I don’t have the words to describe it!”

Willett’s Patina Vie for Castelle follows the motto: Where history and style collide. While her passion for antiquities is on full display throughout the line, you’ll also notice modern touches such as metal finishes and contemporary lines.

“These pieces combine details that make my heart happy,” Willett explained.

One of the collection’s highlights is a gorgeous ceramic dining set, featured at Market in a stunning galvanized steel finish. The table feels rustic and resembles weathered concrete, but it’s durable and all-weather. Its narrow, scaled top harkens back to yesteryear when people would gather, dine, and converse under a backyard tree.

Designers can select one of hundreds of finishes to complete their own Patina Vie designs. When it comes to fabrics in the collection, Washed out watercolors abound, which makes sense given Willett’s affinity for these hues.

“I wanted the collection to reflect my fashion sense,” she noted.

Simple, fashionable, and comfortable outdoor furniture is attainable thanks to this spectacular partnership between Sarah Willett of Patina Vie and Castelle Luxury.
