At every industry event, the Phillips Collection showroom is one of the House Tipster Industry team’s must-see stops. This Summer 2019 season of Las Vegas Market, the home furnishings brand hosted a sensational group of talent getting ready for the industry’s next biggest event.

Our host, Arch-Interiors designer Christopher Grubb, was able to speak with Kimberly Joi McDonald, National President of Interior Design Society and CEO of Designing JOI, LLC; Jenny Cano, Executive Director of Interior Design Society; and Mark Phillips, CEO of Phillips Collection. Through their group conversation, we were able to spot new pieces from Phillips, and learn about IDS’ participation in the upcoming Fall 2019 season of Maison & Objet in Paris, France.

“As an organization, we really wanted to provide a way for our members to learn more about what was going on abroad,” Cano said. “We were able to forge a wonderful partnership where they’re able to go to the show and learn about new artisans across the globe and see new products.”

“We’re so excited that this year we’ll be bringing our second group to go to the Maison,” McDonald added. “What a great opportunity to learn about design abroad, the networking, and have this wonderful educational opportunity.”

Longtime exhibitors like Phillips Collection certainly know what a treat the Parisian expo really is.

“We’ve exhibited four times at Maison, and it’s fabulous,” Phillips said. “But be prepared to be embarrassed with your French.”
